LUNA BELLE LEMOINE
Luna Belle Lemoine was the first therapy k9 for the st tammany parish sheriff’s office. The program was also the first for law enforcement in the state of louisiana. both luna and her handler WERE volunteers serving as reserve deputies, which means the program WAS at no cost to the taxpayer. her training was sponsored by the national police association in 2023 and she is certified by the alliance of therapy dogs as a therapy/comfort dog. luna proudly representED the sheriff’s office at community events, assistED with employee support, and has been successfully deployed in criminal patrol situations.
